

Professor Walid Abou Hamad is a Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut, Lebanon, and serves as Director of Student Affairs. Appointed by the Dean to lead the transformation of the medical curriculum in the Artificial Intelligence era, he is actively redefining medical education by integrating technological innovation, communication, and humanistic competencies.
He holds master’s degrees in Biological Sciences and Educational Sciences, completed a fellowship in Rhinology at McGill University (Montreal, Canada), and previously served as Assistant Professor at Paris XII University School of Medicine in France.
A pioneer in the inclusion of medical communication and the humanities within medical training, Professor Abou Hamad bridges clinical expertise with empathy.
