Karla Klingner

Karla Klingner has built a diverse and distinguished career at a pivotal moment in American and international agricultural history. Raised on a Missouri–Iowa farm, she has evolved from a general litigation attorney to a leader in agricultural and water policy, an immigration counsellor, and an international trade and market intelligence expert with particular insight into US–China relations. Across every chapter of her career, Karla has remained true to her rural roots, bringing a grounded, common-sense approach shaped by her upbringing and years of global experience.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Karla earned both her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (summa cum laude) and her Juris Doctorate. Guided by the words of Maya Angelou — “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” — she recognised early that her values diverged from the trajectory of modern agricultural practices and policies. She saw how multinational conglomerates, through lobbying, were shaping outcomes at the expense of farmers and consumers, and foresaw the shift that would come when technology enabled farmers to market directly.

Over the past seven years, Karla has worked to create and deploy systems that address supply chain and processing challenges at the heart of agriculture. Through her leadership at Palindromes Inc. , she is positioning the organisation as a scalable, solution-driven enterprise capable of spearheading a global movement to “nourish and heal the world.”
