Dr. Sharafat Hussain Ph.D., PMP, FCIM, CDMP is a results-driven consultant, academic, and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience at the intersection of marketing, healthcare, and outsourcing. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the American University in the Emirates (AUE), Dubai, and holds Adjunct Faculty roles at EM Normandie Business School in Dubai and Baylor University in Texas, USA.
Beyond academia, Dr. Hussain has founded and led several successful ventures in the U.S. healthcare and outsourcing industry, operating across India, the USA, and the UAE. His hands-on leadership in building cross-border businesses gives his teaching and research a distinctly practical edge. His areas of expertise include marketing strategy, digital marketing, branding, AI applications, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. He is passionate about connecting theory with real-world execution helping organizations, professionals, and students turn ideas into measurable impact.
Dr Hussain earned his Ph.D. in Management Studies, an MBA in Marketing, and various certifications in related fields. He is a qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) scholar and has been awarded a grant and national fellowship from the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. His scholarly work includes several published research articles, book chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences.
Dr. Hussain is an active member and Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), Project Management Institute (PMI), the Society of Sensory Professionals (SSP), and the Hyderabad Management Association. He also serves as the Ambassador of CIM in the UAE. With a dedication to continuous learning, teaching, and creating value, he is committed to fostering innovation, mentoring aspiring professionals and students, and delivering impactful solutions for businesses and communities around the globe.
