Dr. Rashed Mohamed Karkain, author of the book Sustainable Development Leaders, is the CEO and Managing Director of the Sustainable Development Research and Training Institute and serves as the Vice President of the Society of Scholars in the UAE. He is an Emirati entrepreneur, innovator, and researcher, and an expert member of Mufakiru AlEmarat at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research.
Dr. Karkain holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida, USA, and a Ph.D. in Environment and Health from HBMSU. With over 28 years of distinguished experience across various fields, including sustainable development leadership, environmental project management, and monitoring.
He has received numerous honors, including the Dubai Government Excellence Program Award (DGEP), the Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence.
